Top 5 Places to Get a Great Massage in Costa Rica: My Search For the Perfect Massage-Dream Girls

Can you get a good or even great massage in Costa Rica?

After traveling all over Costa Rica in for my business I can tell you that you CAN get a great massage in Costa Rica, if you know where to look.

Here is my list of my favorite spots to relax and unwind with a great massage.

1. Spa Uno, Manuel Antonio

Why: Location, organic products and quality of service.

Here you will find a serene professional highly trained staff that is attentive to your overall well being and spa experience. Try the Warm Stone massage experience where you will be pampered with organic products while surrounded by the typical sights and sounds of the native Ti Ti and White Face monkeys that inhabit the back of the spa’s jungle canopy.

2. The Springs Resort & Spa, Arenal

Why: Majestic volcano, on-site hot springs, beautiful facility.

Here you will find a simply stunning resort with an overall sense of tranquility and peace. The overall visit is more for the resort as a whole than the massage experience alone, however it is worth it. Try their famous Scalp Massage; this is a highly relaxing experience that requires very little staff experience and great attentiveness to a beloved and neglected area of the body.

3. Xandari Resort and Spa, Alajuela

Why: Beautiful property, close location to San Jose.

This is in the suburb hill town of Costa Rica’s capital city. This property is a unique artistically built and designed property whose talented owners have been in the art world for over 3 decades. This facility is quirky and tempered with diverse massage services and a kind, well trained staff.

4. Lapa Rios Ecolodge & Wildlife Reserve, Osa Pennisula

Why: Breathtaking location and overall experience.

Although this location does not have your classic spa, it is still on my list for the most extreme massage experience in Costa Rica. This retreat is a reserve and refuge for animal and human alike, highly recommended dinning experience and a must for their Girlfriend Getaway.

5. Sibo Spa at Marriott Los Suenos Resort, Herradura

Why: Modern facilities, well trained staff.

This is my only large resort on the list. Usually I prefer small facilities that are a little more personalized. But at the Sibo spa they do a great job of giving you that personalized service, and I love the overall feel of the spa.
